#DearValentine – February Blog Challenge

You know what time it is! It’s time for a writing challenge. Don’t deny it – you guys LOVE my challenges. Right. Right?

Your challenge for February is simple.

4 days. 4 pieces. 300 words.

No catch.

Yeah, right. No catch? You want an easy challenge – you go elsewhere!

These are your prompts – do with them what you will.

  • Saturday 4th: A note, a photograph, the docks
  • Saturday 11th: A box of chocolates, plane tickets, the Eiffel Tower
  • Saturday 18th: A gun, a tuxedo, an abandoned fairground
  • Saturday 25th: Surgical tools, a car, in the countryside

You know how it works.. Make it as gory and anti-Valentine as you like!

As always, sign up using the in-linkz tool below. And steal the awesome badge.

A little note, m’dears – Julie Fisher missed the sign up deadline – but she’s still taking part so don’t forget to check out her fabulous #DearValentine entries!

  1. I do love your challenges, but just knowing there’s a new one isn’t enough if I don’t know where to sign up for it! Glad you posted the forwarding address over at blogspot.

*sigh* I don’t want to make it gory and anti-Valentine… But I suppose I can get my sweet-sentimental Valentine fix from Lost Girls’ Society and come up with something more twisted for this challenge. (still looking for your January challenge entry and perhaps a response if you get time by the way)

    1. David! I’m so sorry – I’ve been so engrossed in edits that I completely forgot to reply to your comment on the old blog. Forgive me? The story ‘An Appetite for Knowledge’ was indeed the entry for my January Challenge, really should have pointed that out, huh? I love that you loved the coffee thing, it’s possibly my favourite line! I will catch up on LGS this weekend, when I have a minute to myself, I promise! Glad to have you on board for the #DearValentine challenge too 🙂

      1. Ah, okay. Good to know. Any thoughts on my Resolution Confusion entry when you get a chance would also be appreciated. Marshintire’s swamped right now so there’s a lot of art missing from Lost Girls’ Society if that impacts your desire to catch up now or later.

  2. Oop! And as soon as I’ve said I don’t want to make it gory and anti-Valentine I just realized this could be an amazing opportunity to delve into the first love of Anastasia from my Dark Hunters trilogy.
